- Takes place from November 27 - 29 (Thursday to Saturday) at the 'The Sevens', Emirates' purpose built sporting venue.
- The 2008 event will be its 39th year.
- Emirates Airline has been the official sponsor of the Dubai Rugby Sevens since 1988.
- The first day consists of local and international invitational teams in action with days two and three seeing the 16 international sides compete for the Emirates International Trophy.
- Over 1,750 players will take part.
- More than 12,000 overseas visitors will attend.
- The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens is the first round of the International Rugby Board Sevens World Series.
- New Zealand is the reigning Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens champions.
- The three-day event is brought to a close with 'Rugby Rock' featuring a international act yet to be announced.
- Tickets will be available from October onwards.
